Remember:  want + perception = behavior

Discipline begins and ends with teaching children to think out the soundness of what they WANT, relative to how they presently perceive what they are getting and to how they are attempting to accomplish their goal as it relates to the rules and the standards of wherever they are and to the rights of others.

Soundness means “is what they WANT consistent with the will of God for their life?

Soundness means “is what they WANT permitted by God?

 2. How they presently perceive what they are getting.

Am I getting what I want?

Am I not getting what I want?

 3. How they are attempting to accomplish their goal.
