"GET THE PICTURE"
We, in the United States, are living in a period of history characterized by moral relativity. The cause isn't difficult to understand, but only a few are likely to agree.
We are five generations departed from sound doctrinal teaching in this country. In the mid-1800's, Pauline Dispensationalism was restored as a biblical hermeneutic in the thinking of many of our country's Bible scholars, and a measure of godliness and holiness attended this restoration. The men who were responsible for this restoration were John Darby, W.I. Scofield, and L.S. Chafer. All was well for a while, but when departure from the biblical concept of TWO New Covenants occurred, one New Covenant for Israel and a separate and distinct New Covenant for the Church, the moral slide began. From Pauline Dispensationalism attributed to the Apostle Paul and the early church to Traditional Dispensationalism with Darby, Scofield, and Chafer, to Revised Dispensationalism with Walvoord, Ryrie, and Pentecost, to Neo-Dispensationalism with Bock and Blaising, we have moved from moral absolutes that guided our country in the 1800's to today's moral relativism characterized by "every man doing what is right in his own eyes."
Generally speaking, the youngest generation in our country has no clue regarding moral absolutes, and this page is dedicated to pointing that out. Quite honestly, my "prophetic" cry to those who will stand still long enough to listen is mostly falling on deaf ears. The United States is being destroyed as a nation and its destruction is coming from within--not a shot is being fired. Sound familiar??? Well, it is in fact occurring, and unless a genuine spiritual revival occurs in this nation, it is only a matter of time until it will become a second-rate nation in this world or perhaps non-existent. I beg-to-differ with anyone who finds the United States in biblical prophecy. It cannot be found there, and thus suggests the conclusion that it is either second-rate or non-existent in God's eschatological picture.
With the prevalence of Covenant Theology, and the hermeneutical slide from Pauline Dispensationalism to Neo-Dispensationalism, and the charismatic chaos present in our country today, it is not difficult to understand why so many lives are in trouble and why this nation's institutions, including the church, are falling apart.
The following documents address the moral depravity prevalent in our country today, and one of the real questions that should be asked of each and every Christian is this: Are YOU part of the problem or are YOU part of the solution? The answer is simple. If the focus of your life is self, you are part of the problem. If the focus of your life is to become like Christ in His humanity, you are part of the solution, and whether anyone else is seeking a Christ-like life or not, YOU personally will be held accountable at the bema seat judgment (2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Corinthians 3:11-15).
Revival doesn't come from God. It comes when human beings use their volition to seek godliness, holiness, and righteousness. My prayer is that YOU personally are seeking that godliness and holiness and righteousness.
